Senegal Airlines to buy six Airbus jets

DUBAI – Airbus has signed a letter of intent to sell four A320 and two A330 aircraft to Senegal Airlines, according to a statement on Wednesday.

Senegal Airlines, the new national carrier of the West African country, will launch services to other African destinations in early 2010.

The new, private sector-dominated national airline was launched last month and replaces Air Senegal International (ASI) which collapsed earlier this year.
