BRAZIL
Rio de Janeiro is the best gay destination of the world
The International Tourism Conference chose the city of Rio de Janeiro as the best gay destination of the world. The decision emphasized Rio because of its “gay friendly” environment of other five candidates which were Barcelona, Buenos Aires, London, Montreal and Sidney.

Turkish Airlines will fly between Sao Paulo and Istanbul
Beginning in April, Turkish Airlines will join Sao Paulo and Istanbul without scales, this last city will be the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010.

CHILE
PAL is about to be authorized to fly to Argentina
Very soon, Principal Airlines -PAL- will be able to carry out regular flights to Argentina. The company requested to fly the routes of Santiago-Ezeiza-Santiago, Santiago-Cordoba-Santiago and Iquique-Cordoba-Iquique. The airline operates three own B737-200 Ad, it also operates a rented B767 to carry out charter to The Caribbean from Santiago.

BOLIVIA
Airlines are obliged to inform about changes in flights
The airlines which offer national or international services will be obliged to inform to their passengers about any change of a flight or in the route. The announcement must be carried out with four hours in advance in domestic frequencies and 12 hours for international trips. The airlines that delay or cancel their flights to the interior or the exterior of Bolivia will be economically fined and they will have to refund in favor of the user up to 25% of the ticket value and covering their food costs and accommodation if there were any resistance, the fine will increase 40%.

AeroSur will add a modern Boeing 747-400
AeroSur will add a modern Boeing 747-400 for its intercontinental route between Bolivia and Spain. The aircraft will have a configuration of three classes with 14 seats in First Class, 58 in Business and 379 seats in Economical Class. The Boeing 747-400 corresponds to a former Virgin Atlantic aircraft and this will replace the current Boeing 747-300.

PERU
TACA launches direct flights to Porto Alegre
TACA presented formally its direct flights to Porto Alegre which will be operated three times a week placing the city as the third one with direct arrivals from Lima after Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The airline will carry out on December 1st, the inaugural flight to the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.

Peruvian Airlines will begin flights to Tacna on November 13th
Since November 13th, Peruvian Airlines will begin operations in the route Lima- Tacna which will become the second city of the south circuit where it will arrive with its flights. The airline will use for its flights Antonov HUV airplanes.

ACCOR inaugurated a Novotel in Lima
The French group inaugurated a Novotel, its second hotel in Lima which demanded an investment of US$18.5 million. The chain already operated in Cusco under the same brand and in Miraflores with the brand of Sofitel. Both brands were focused on the four star segment. The group plans a more aggressive incursion in the three star category where it is considered that there is a market neglected by most of the operators in the area.

Casa Inca opened its doors in Miraflores
Casa Inca is a boutique hotel developed in an old big house of Miraflores with more than 1,000 sq.m of area which has been carefully restored. The establishment which has 15 rooms belonged to the archeologist Julio C Tello and since 1950 it passed to be the property of the Family Freundtโ€“ Orihuela.

ECUADOR
Decameron will open a hotel in Esmeraldas in December
In the middle of December, Royal Decameron Mompiche will open its doors in Esmeralda. With the concept of resort and convention center, the complex will have 300 rooms, 4 restaurants, 7 bars, snacks, 5 swimming pools, fitness center, spa, cine, a convention center among other services. It will offer its services under the all included system. Tame in alliance with the hotel chain will render its air services of passengers who travel to Mompiche from the main cities of the country and other points.

VENEZUELA
Hilton Margarita will be restored by Cuban technicians
A group of Cuban technicians will be the people in charge of rescuing the facilities of Hotel Hilton de Margarita meanwhile the debts that the owners have of the hotel complex with the employees will be pay very soon.

Now this will be called Macanao
Macanao is the name which the government of Venezuela will name to the expropriate Hotel Hilton Margarita as part of the hotels chain Caribes de Venezuela. The name corresponds to a region of Margarita Island.
