MANAMA, Bahrain – Following the announcement by the Airports Authority of Thailand (AOT) that Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport will be reopened for normal operations from late Thursday, December 4, 2008, Gulf Air will be resuming its normal operations to and from Bangkok from December 5, 2008.

However, this is subject to the security clearance of the Bangkok airport and the complete functioning of all computerized equipment.

In view of this, the ferry flight scheduled to operate from Phuket on December 5, 2008 has been cancelled.

In the interest of its customers stranded in Thailand, Gulf Air commenced a special operation to Phuket Airport on Deceber 3 and 4 departing Phuket at 0540 hrs. local time and arriving in Bahrain at 0840 hrs. local time on these days.

The Gulf Air Bangkok Office has been working to provide transport arrangements from Bangkok to Phuket by road to transfer passengers holding confirmed seats.
