PEACH SPRINGS, Arizona – The Grand Canyon Resort Corporation has landed a veteran chief executive officer with more than a quarter century of high-level leadership and tourism/destination entertainment experience.

Mark Mortenson will join GCRC starting today, Monday, October 5, 2015, to take over the role of CEO. Before accepting the GCRC position, Mortenson spent the last eight years as President and CEO of the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences, an organization that manages the Buffalo Museum of Science and the Tifft Nature Preserve.Prior to that he worked for Disney for 2 decades.

Mortenson holds an undergraduate degree and an MBA in Business Administration.
