Speaking at a gathering at the Expo grounds here in the capital, the head of the Tourism Ministry’s branch in the Central region, Ms. Akberet Teshale, pointed out that Eritrea’s strategic location, salubrious weather, virgin resources and rich historical and archeological relics make it unique compared to other countries.

The chairman of the service-rendering institutions association branch office in the region, Mr. Yohannes Tekie, on his part noted that unlike in a number of other countries where there exists no harmony and tolerance among the society, Eritrea is marching towards prosperity on the basis of the prevailing strong unity and maturity of the people, which in turn would enable the nation become tourism destination.

Also on the occasion, the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Askalu Menkerios, the Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Tewolde Kelati, and other officials handed certificate of appreciation to institutions and individuals that made due contribution for the success of the event.
