BITE was first organized in 2003, and by 2014 the China Outbound Tourism Development Report said that China remained the world’s largest outbound tourist market and the no. 1 country with the highest outbound tourism consumption. Last year, outbound tourists were estimated to be at 98.19 million – an increase of 18.0%. Outbound tourism consumption was at US$128.7 billion dollars – a 26.8 percent increase.
