An Asia-based airline has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 60 A320neo Family aircraft at the Paris Airshow.

“Airbus welcomes this latest commitment for the A320neo Family from a customer in the fast-growing Asia region. The A320neo is the best-selling single aisle aircraft family in the world,โ€ said John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers. โ€œThe NEO offers airlines a unique combination of unbeatable economics and outstanding cabin comfort. Itโ€™s no wonder the A320neo Family is clearly recognized as the industry benchmark in the single aisle segment.โ€

The A320neo Family is the worldโ€™s best-selling single aisle product line with nearly 3,800 orders received from 72 customers since its launch in 2010, capturing almost 60 percent of the market. The A320neo Family incorporates latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklet wing tip devices which together deliver more than 15 percent in fuel savings from day one and 20 percent by 2020 with further cabin innovations.

Thanks to their widest cabin, all members of the A320neo Family offer unmatched comfort in all classes and Airbusโ€™ 18โ€ wide seats in economy as standard.

With one aircraft in three sizes (A319neo, A320neo & A321neo), the A320neo Family, seating from 100 to 240 passengers, seamlessly covers the entire single-aisle segment from low to high-density configurations on domestic to longer range routes. To date, the A320 Family has won more than 11,700 orders and over 6,500 aircraft delivered to more than 300 operators worldwide.
