AMSTERDAM, Netherlands – Two new heads of department have recently been appointed at RAI Amsterdam. Hadewych Versnel has become Manager of the International Sales Network, while Anita Kanters replaced her as Manager of the Marketing & Communications Department. Versnel and Kanters fulfil these roles within RAI Exhibitions, the department responsible for the operation and development of RAI Amsterdam’s own exhibitions – 25 Dutch and international titles.
The new position of Manager International Sales Network was created to accompany the international ambition of RAI Amsterdam. With some 2,600 exhibitors from outside the Netherlands at the international exhibitions in Amsterdam and 26 agents in 17 countries, the importance of the agent network has increased significantly. Versnel will focus on expanding and optimizing this network. She started her career at international exhibition organizers UBM and Reed Exhibitions before joining RAI Amsterdam in 2005, initially as coordinator of the agent network. Over the last five years Versnel has worked as Manager of the Marketing & Communications department, a position she now hands over to Kanters.
Over the last three years, Kanters has worked on the development of a new department at RAI Amsterdam called Media Performance. Her task was to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of online and offline campaigns. Prior to this role she spent 16 years working as a freelance communications consultant as a specialist in branding, event & marketing communications and external communications. Kanters will also give direction to the international focus from the side of the Marketing & Communication department at RAI Exhibitions.
