Western Australia Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC) Chairman, Robert Taylor, is pleased to announce that the next national Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference (AITC) 2016 will be held in Bunbury, Western Australia.

The conference is the only event of its kind in Australia and is scheduled to be held from March 9-11, 2016.

โ€œSince the inaugural event in 2004, the aim is to hold the conference in regions around Australia to showcase the diversity of Aboriginal culture in Australia and celebrate the achievements made in the tourism industry. Although the South West Geographe Margaret River region is known for gourmet food and wine experiences, itโ€™s also rich in its cultural history and experiences,โ€ said Mr. Taylor.

The 8th AITC will bring together Aboriginal tourism representatives, businesses and organizations from Australia and overseas to discuss the opportunities and challenges within the industry through plenary sessions and presentations by industry leaders in the field.
