World Travel Market has joined forces with Bruin Communications to offer visitors and exhibitors to WTM 2009 the chance to substantially reduce the cost of mobile phone usage with the SaverSIM.
The SaverSIM is a Global Roaming SIM and offers users:
• a low fixed-rate cost of just 24p (€0.28) (inc VAT) to any landline or mobile in the EU
• free inbound calls while in the UK and in 62 other countries
• free message retrieval and SMS alerts for voicemail worldwide
• reduced call charges from the UK to international destinations
This compares to the standard charges from UK mobile operators, which charge inbound calls at 19p (€0.22) per minute, outbound calls to Europe at 38p (€0.43p) per minute, and voicemail retrieval at 38p (€0.43) per minute.
SaverSIM will also not charge for inbound SMS/texts worldwide. Text messages within Europe using SaverSIM cost around 10p (€0.11)
Once signed up for the service, there is no daily access charge or call connection charges. It also offers users free itemized real-time billing on saversim.com. There is also a help desk telephone number with extended opening hours before and during the show.
The SaverSIM provides users with an individual +44 mobile phone number, which can be used in 200 countries worldwide.
The SaverSIM Card can be used before, during, and after World Travel Market to save money on phone bills.
World Travel Market exhibition director Craig Moyes said: “World Travel Market is delighted to be working with SaverSIM to offer our visitors significant savings on their mobile phone bills.
“SaverSIM will be particularly useful for WTM’s tens of thousands of overseas visitors.”
Bruin Communications managing director Graham Pollard said, “The SaverSIM offers great value and savings to any international traveler, and where better to offer this service than at The World Travel Market – the leading global event for people who travel.”
It is available as a pre-paid SIM, starting with a £20 option, ideal for smaller operations or individuals with a 24-hour, top-up facility online. Larger businesses can opt for a post-paid option.
The card is provided by Bruin Communications, a telecoms services and consultancy provider with nearly ten years’ experience in the sector. The SaverSIM is based on technology, which has one million users worldwide.
