Deadly German passenger train accident near Osnabrueck

It’s the main train line between Osnabrueck and Amsterdam where two German Rail passengers died on Saturday and 20 were injured.

The accident happened on a level crossing in the town of Ibbenbueren when the passenger train from Osnabrueck hit a slurry truck carrying manure. Ibbenbueren is west of Osnabrueck and located in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Three of those injured were said to be in a serious condition.
Emergency services are at the scene and more details are still coming in.
