Airbus BizLab has opened its first call for project entries after the business accelerator was launched on March 9 of this year. Project proposals can be submitted from now until June 11, 2015. After the selection process, Airbus will offer early-stage projects wide-ranging support in the form of a six-month โ€œacceleration program.โ€

The selected project candidates will have access to a large number of Airbus coaches, experts and mentors in various domains (technology, legal, finance, marketing, etc.); free office space, a dedicated mentor; learn and act sessions; access to prototyping and test facilities, and a demo day with Airbus decision makers, partners, subsidiaries, customers, and venture capital.

The projects within the acceleration programme will include the development of a product, a service, an application related to augmented reality, as well as data analysis and digitalisation, which can be used in the aeronautical industry.

โ€œNow the time for real action starts. Collecting and studying in detail the different and challenging innovative proposals will be a very much exciting part of our job,โ€ said Bruno Gutierres, Head of Airbus BizLab. โ€œThe world is rich with people with brilliant ideas and our goal is to select the ones that will benefit our industry and our communities the most.โ€

Airbus BizLab is a global aerospace business accelerator where start-ups and Airbus โ€œintrapreneursโ€ (internal entrepreneurs) can work together to speed up transforming their innovative ideas into valuable businesses.
