DUBAI, UAE – Emirates Airline has announced that it will increase its well-received, three-times weekly New York JFK – Dubai A380 service to daily frequency beginning October 26, 2008. The airline made history on August 1, 2008, when it became the first carrier to operate the double-decker Airbus commercially to the United States.

Passengers aboard the Emirates A380 are privy to one of the most luxurious in-flight experiences. On-board amenities include two Shower Spas for First Class passengers, 1,200 channels of entertainment throughout the aircraft, world-class dining and a dedicated First and Business Class Lounge featuring beverage and light food service throughout the duration of the flight.

“With the increase in frequency, Emirates passengers will have more opportunities to fly the industry’s most comfortable and technologically-advanced aircraft,” said Nigel Page, senior vice president, Commercial Operations, The Americas. “The A380 is superior in terms of size and fuel economy, and with the delivery of our second A380, Emirates stays firm in its commitment to providing passengers with an exceptional flight experience.”

A380 passengers flying from New York will arrive at Dubai International Airport’s brand new Emirates Terminal 3. Highlights include multiple check-in options and areas, lounges for First Class, Business Class, children and special needs passengers, a wide variety of retail stores, a spa, 14 restaurants, two hotels and five special A380 gates – double-decker jetways that allow for two-level, simultaneous boarding. New York’s JFK International Airport also utilizes a bi-level gate to board the A380, as Emirates First and Business Class passengers board directly from the Emirates Lounge at JFK Airport.

The daily A380 service will operate on the following schedule:

• EK201 (Daily service beginning October 26, 2008)
• Departs Dubai (DXB) at 8:30 a.m. every day and arrives in New York (JFK) at 2:15 p.m. the same day
• EK202 (Daily service beginning October 26, 2008)
• Departs New York (JFK) at 11:00 p.m. every day and arrives in Dubai (DXB) at 7:45 p.m. the next day

The daily A380 service will complement Emirates second daily flight aboard the Boeing 777-300ER.
