MINNEAPOLIS, MN & MCLEAN, VA – Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis North, a 13-story, suburban high-rise hotel located in Brooklyn Center and surrounded by more than 500 acres of parks and walking paths. Formerly the Minneapolis Boulevard Hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis North debuts a $4 million transformation that includes modern, stylish updates throughout the property. At the helm of the freshly-renovated hotel is veteran hotelier and Minnesota Native, Robert โ€œRoscoโ€ Larson, who has been appointed as general manager, bringing with him an extensive knowledge of the Twin Cities market. The hotel is owned by Boxer Resorts, Houston, Texas and managed by Hilton Worldwide.

Nestled along the Mississippi River, the hotelโ€™s peaceful suburban setting offers a quiet respite from the bustle of downtown Minneapolis yet is only ten minutes from the city center, making it an ideal location for business and leisure guests alike. A tree-lined boulevard creates a stately sense of arrival, while an updated interior reflects a fresh, contemporary design marked by sleek chrome accents and a cool color palate accented by violet hues. The 174-room hotel offers all modern amenities, including WiFi, LCD HDTVs and the inviting Sweet Dreams bed experience. A 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center and WiFi throughout the hotelโ€™s public spaces are all complimentary to guests.

The hotel offers dining options to suit any palate. Lombardโ€™s is the hotelโ€™s American-themed restaurant offering a full-service bar and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Grants, the hotelโ€™s intimate lobby bar, offers a range of light bites and a diverse drink menu.

For smaller group meetings, the hotel offers the Meetings Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package from $29.95 per person, which includes the meeting room, basic meeting WiFi, meeting room supplies including a flipchart, markers, extension and power cord, and all day non-alcoholic beverage service.

โ€œThe addition of the DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis North is further affirmation of the growing presence of Hilton Worldwide in the Minneapolis โ€“ St. Paul market where we now have more than 750 employees and 1,600 rooms under management,โ€ according to Area Vice President, Tom Loughlin, Hilton Worldwide.

In addition to the warm chocolate chip cookie welcome, guests will enjoy other DoubleTree by Hilton brand amenities, including an assortment of gourmet in-room tea and coffee choices from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leafยฎ, the refreshing new Aroma Actives natural skin and body care line, and an industry-recognized service culture built around the idea of CARE, which stands for Create a Rewarding Experience for guests, team members and the community.

โ€œIt is my distinct pleasure to welcome guests to this relaxed, contemporary urban retreat where they will enjoy the award-winning service culture for which the DoubleTree by Hilton brand is known worldwide,โ€ said Larson.
