HAVANA, Cuba – The central Cuban province of Villa Clara and its northern keys expect an increasing number of visitors from over 20 Latin American cities, who begin to arrive here today on a first flight by Panamaยดs Copa Airlines.

Some one hundred vacationers are arriving at the Abel Santa Maria International Airport in Santa Clara city to particularly travel to tourist resorts on the keys off the northern coast of this province to enjoy nature and tourist services in over 8 thousand hotel rooms.

Panamaยดs Belrays travel agency will open an office in the province to back the tourist flow, said the director of the tourist information office here Jesus Diaz-Canel, who noted that the visitors will come from Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and other nations thus expanding the tourist markets out of the traditional Canada, Germany and France.

The current high tourist season is expected to increase by 20 percent the arrivals and according to official statistics, Cuba received over 2 million 410 visitors from January to October, 4.3 percent over same period of 2013.
