Today’s latest terror attack in Kenya is not targeting the travel and tourism industry of this country, but it happened on a public passenger bus. It happened because of the conflict involving Kenya’s role in Somalia, and it happened by brainwashed religious fanatics wanting to kill anyone who is not believing in Islam.
Al-Shabab militants from Somalia have murdered 28 non-Muslims after hijacking a bus in northern Kenya. According to eTN sources those murdered were 19 men 9 women, mostly teachers on their way to Kenya’s capital Nairobi. Al Shabab has yet to claim role in Madera bus attack, analysts believe it may perhaps be linked to recent raids at mosques in Mombasa by Kenya forces
It happened in Lethi, near Bulla Arabia, 31km from Mandera Town at 5am Saturday morning. This is according to eTN sources. Official media said the bus was traveling to the capital Nairobi when it was hijacked 31 miles from Mandera town.
The gunmen singled out non-Muslims and shot them dead.
Kenya has been hit by a series of gun and bomb attacks blamed on Somalia’s al Qaida-linked al-Shabab militants since it sent troops into Somalia in October 2011.
Authorities say there have been at least 135 attacks since then, including the Westgate Mall massacre in which 67 people were killed.
Local leaders asked the media to exercise restraint.
