AMMAN, Jordan – Jordan’s tourism revenues rose 8.8 percent in the first 9 months of 2014, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, said.

AMMAN, Jordan – Jordan’s tourism revenues rose 8.8 percent in the first 9 months of 2014, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, said.

Arabiyat added, during a press conference today, that the total number of overnight visitors rose by 2.8 percent, attributing the rise to efforts of the Jordan Tourism Board through joint marketing and promotional campaigns with travel and tour agents.

“The number of tourists from the Americas rose by 6.6 percent, Asia by 4.6 percent and those from Arab Gulf countries by 4 percent,” the director added.
