NADI, Fiji – Fiji Airways names Olaf Kaehlert as Regional General Manager of North America.
“In his new role, Kaehlert will spearhead sales and marketing campaigns as well as public and media relations activities within the North American market,” explains Stefan Pichler, Fiji Airways managing director and CEO. “Additionally, Kaehlert will support various international assignments in order to penetrate new markets abroad.”
Olaf Kaehlert is an industry veteran who brings over 15 years of expertise in business development, marketing, and sales as well as vast familiarity in international business, particularly in the North and South American, European, and Asian markets. Kaehlert also has over 10 years of experience in the airline industry and joins Fiji Airways from Korean Air, where he most recently served as General Manager Latin America. Prior to Korean Air, Kaehlert worked for Universal Air Travel Plan, Inc. (UATP), Mexicana Airlines, and the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Pichler states, “We are thrilled to have Olaf as part of the Fiji Airways team. We plan to leverage his extensive knowledge of the industry, and we are confident that he will contribute to the growth and development of Fiji Airways.”
Kaehlert will report directly to Executive General Manager Sales and Marketing Otto Gergye.
