Ocean Discovery Camp, for ages 6 to 12, is a day-camp program available Mondays through Friday, by the day or by the week, through July 24. The camp activities include surfing and windsurfing lessons, visits to Maui Ocean Center, a boat cruise, tidepool explorations, beach fun, hands-on science projects, arts and crafts, plus sports and games, along with learning about the ocean and marine environment.

There’s a different theme for each week, based on some of the most fascinating creatures in the sea. The themes are:

June 22 – June 26: Magnificent Marine Mammals
June 29 – July 3: Hawaii: The Place We Call Home
July 6 – July 10: Terrific Sea Turtles
July 13 – July 17: Sensational Sharks
July 20 – July 24: Incredible Invertebrates

Campers enjoy a selection of fun things to do each day; thereโ€™s sure to be activities on the schedule suited to each individual child.

Ocean Discovery Camp takes place from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays at Pacific Whale Foundation’s Discovery Center in Maalaea. If mom or dad need to get to work earlier (or leave later), Pacific Whale Foundation offers early drop-off and late pick-up by prior arrangement for a small added fee.

In addition, they are all lifeguard, CPR, and first-aid certified.
