AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., today launched daily nonstop flights from Branson Airport in Branson, Missouri, the first privately-financed and commercially-operated airport in the United States, to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with the help of legendary singer Lee Greenwood. During the event, Greenwood celebrated the new service by wowing the crowd with his hit song, "God Bless the USA."

"AirTran Airways makes flying to the Branson area easy and affordable," said John Kirby, senior director of strategic planning for AirTran Airways. "Branson is a popular family friendly destination, with more than 8 million visitors a year. Our quality low fare nonstop service from Atlanta and Milwaukee offers connecting access to more than 50 destinations, including Puerto Rico and popular vacation areas in Florida."

The following nonstop flights between Branson and Milwaukee will be available beginning May 11, 2009:
