Agoda.com, an online hotel booking service in Asia and a part of Priceline.com, today announced an expansion of its hotel portfolio by partnering with the Oberoi Group, a leading luxury hotel brand based in India. The Oberoi Group’s award-winning luxury hotels and resorts are now available on Agoda.com and via Agoda’s network of distribution partners.

As a part of the agreement, Agoda.com will distribute 25 hotels and resorts under the luxury ‘Oberoi’ and 5-star ‘Trident’ brands. These hotels are located in prime Indian business centers such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangalore, as well as in the historical and vibrant cities of Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Ranthambhore, and Shimla. The Oberoi Group’s resorts in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia will also be soon available on Agoda.com.

Wilfred Fan, Agoda’s vice president of business development commented: “The partnership is another significant milestone for Agoda. India is a market that has huge potential and is developing quickly. The Oberoi Group now has access to Agoda’s membership of over one million loyal customers worldwide, with extensive market coverage in the Asia-Pacific region. Oberoi will have real-time control of content and inventory by using Agoda’s Yield Control System. This means greater flexibility in offering promotions during low seasons, better merchandising opportunities, and improving yields during peak travel periods. I expect this to be an ideal partnership for both parties.”

Manish Singh, vice president, distribution and revenue management, The Oberoi Group said: “We are confident that Agoda will assist us in bringing our hotels and resorts to prominence in the very competitive Asia-Pacific region. Partnerships such as this are integral to our expansion and online distribution strategy. The online marketplace is an important avenue for us to communicate with our consumers, as well as contact new travelers. Agoda.com’s significant presence in the Asia-Pacific market will definitely help us achieve our goals.”

Agoda offers hotel booking services through websites in 21 languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and many European languages. The sites are supported by a multilingual, customer-service team, which operates 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.
