Solomon Airlines has opened their North American office, and the debut of the new office solidifies the airlines goal to market and promote the culture, spirit, and visual richness of this exotic South Pacific Island.

The new office is managed by Kerry A. Byrd, director of the Americas. “We strongly believe that the future of the Solomons lies in tourism,” said Byrd. “The new office will allow us to maximize collaborative efforts with other South Pacific airlines, destinations, and travel industry partners to showcase the Solomons as a hot “where to go next” accessible adventure travel destination.”

Located in the southwest Pacific between Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji, the Solomons are easily accessible with international flights from North America to Brisbane Australia or Fiji with connecting flights on Solomon Air from these gateways to the capitol, Honiara, and onwards to 26 airports within the Solomon’s 992 islands spread over 1,300 miles.

The Solomons are captivating, with unrivaled natural beauty, pristine coral atolls, which offer world-class scuba diving and kayaking, revered sites of World War II battles, lush rainforests, and gentle friendly people with rich unique cultures, music, and art. It is a tranquil simple unhurried life, away from mass tourism.

Travelers can obtain tourism brochures on what to see and do in the Solomon Islands, as well as airfares and schedules on Solomon Air (IE).

Solomon Islands also announced a new user-friendly website with a booking web-engine, www.flysolomons.com . The new site will add value to the current array of products, including booking for both international and domestic Solomon Airlines reservations and tourist information. Direct access is available to Solomon Islands major hotels, resorts, and the Solomon Islands Visitor Bureau web site, www.visitsolomons.com .
