American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will launch nonstop service between its Dallas/Fort Worth hub (DFW) and Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF), beginning June 11.

"American Eagle is pleased to be able to provide Santa Fe and the surrounding communities with nonstop service to DFW," said American Eagle president and CEO Peter Bowler. "This new service not only makes vacationing in the beautiful Santa Fe area more convenient, but will provide much more flexible options for area businesses."

"This is terrific news for residents and businesses alike," said Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-NM). "Now our state's capital will be more easily accessible, making travel more convenient and creating economic opportunities."

"This service is a long-anticipated opportunity, which will open new doors for Santa Fe businesses and help us move forward on our economic development goals of diversifying the local economy and providing high-wage jobs," said Mayor David Coss.
