The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities is organizing the Saudi Events Industry Forum (SEIF) in the Saudi Capital, on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Intercontinental Hotel, King Faisal Hall.

Mr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, head of the SCTA's tourism products and events department, stated that this forum is one of the steps that the latter is taking to develop varied tourism sectors. The forum is targeting the sectors that influence the tourism industry, as well as the tourism industry in the kingdom, such as the organizers of festivals, activities, conferences, and exhibitions. Additionally, the forum will help SCTA to realize its goal in developing its national tourism.

SCTA holds this annual forum to enhance communication channels between industry partners from the private and public sectors, as well as to exchange experiences and information, which adds up to developing a highly-competitive local event in the management industry.

The forum will present local and international best practices in events management and the latest related technologies and trends, in addition to specialized event management workshops, such as managing adventure and sports events along with managing cultural heritage events.

It is expected that 300 event-management experts will participate in this forum. SCTA invites all those interested to register through the forum's website http://www.ksaevent.net .
