Air Madagascar in dire straits
The Indian Ocean has now confirmed that Air Madagascar is in dire straits as visitor numbers have plummeted by 70 percent due to the political troubles of Madagascar. European consultants advising the big island airline have either been asked to leave or take a back seat.
Air Madagascar is in a state of disarray. The airline’s “conseil d’administration” was disbanded in November 2008.
It is now confirmed that Air Madagascar's CEO and advising COO, both German nationals and former Lufthansa consulting high fliers, no longer have executive roles and their future roles are uncertain.
Air Madagascar has not yet published any of the information, but those close to the airline's inner circle have these decisions.
