It is spring time. The nature of some areas of the southern district in Italy is waking up. Amongst it is the Peninsula of Sorrento whose citrus groves are evergreen. The fragrance of their buds and fruits blended with the spontaneous scent of greenery and the breeze of the sea, create an incomparable feed for your senses. If you arrive by boat, the heavy scent of the Peninsula flora often reaches you while approaching the coast, carried on the breeze blowing off the land.

Sorrento is a charming, restful corner of the Campania region, which nature has endowed with a landscape of bright and serene horizons and an enchanting blue sky and sea. It overlooks the sea from the height of its tough rock surrounded by fruit and olive tree groves. The birthplace of famed personalities and poem writers, Sorrento is a popular tourist destination amongst Italian and foreign visitors for its both modern and traditional lifestyle.

Its fortunate geographical location facilitates excursions to the nearby major islands of Capri and Ischia; the archeological areas of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum, Amalfi, and Ravello - jewels of architecture and history perched high in the mountains overlooking the sea; and Positano and Praiano - coastal villages full of charm and history. Excursions are also organized to the Vesuvius Vulcan.

Located just 15 miles away from the Coast of Capri and the culture of Pompeii, is the equally beautiful hotel appropriately named the Hilton Sorrento Palace where relaxation and comfort are its cornerstones. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing and exploring with an alfresco dinner overlooking the Bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius as a backdrop.
