HONOLULU, HI – eTurboNews, Inc. is proud to announce that it has entered into an agreement with the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) to help promote the upcoming International Destination Expo South Africa 2009.

“With the addition of eTurboNews as a partner for our upcoming International Destination Expo in Sun City, South Africa, we are greatly expanding our ability to reach travel professionals across the world and alert them to the value of attending this event,” said Chris Russo, ASTA president and chair. “eTurbo News is well-respected throughout the industry and has tremendous reach. Thanks in part to their support, we hope to make this one of the most successful IDEs to date.”

“It is important that travel agents are familiar with the destinations that they are selling, and I believe that is precisely what ASTA is trying to achieve via IDE,” said eTurboNews editor-in-chief Nelson Alcantara. “ASTA has done a commendable job, with the help of South Africa’s tourism authorities, to come up with an impressive itinerary that offers wonderful learning opportunities for attendees.”

To be held in Sun City, South Africa from March 8-11, 2009, ASTA’s International Destination Expo (IDE) is the only show dedicated to training outbound US travel agents to become destination specialists in a given destination. ASTA’s IDE allows travel agents to become destination specialists in a given county or region and to learn first-hand the key selling points that will help them with their client base when they return home. Attendees master their destination knowledge with four days of concentrated education; have the opportunity to network with local suppliers they would not otherwise meet; take part in complimentary sightseeing; and add new certifications to their professional profile that they can promote to current and prospective clients.

Visit eTurboNews’ events website at http://eturbopr.com/events/ for the link to ASTA’s IDE 2009 and to find the list of events the Hawaii-based company is supporting.

Travel agents and suppliers interested in attending, can still register. Visit www.ASTA.org/IDE for more information.
