airberlin welcomes the agreement announced today between the Berlin and Brandenburg Employers’ Association (Allgemeiner Verband der Wirtschaft für Berlin und Brandenburg) for the employers and ver.di representing employees in the pay dispute affecting ground handling services at Berlin’s airports.

Thomas Winkelmann, Chief Executive Officer of airberlin, said of the decision announced this morning:

“The agreement between the partners to the deal is great news. Stable, smooth air traffic is critical for the German capital, Berlin. Airlines, ground handling service staff and the Berlin economy now have planning certainty for the next three years.”
