Alaska Airlines inaugurates nonstop service in three new markets this week — San Jose, Calif. to Newark, New Jersey, which began on March 12; San Jose, Calif. to Burbank, Calif. beginning on March 16; and Portland, Ore. to Orlando, Florida also beginning on March 16.
Flights between San Jose and Newark and Portland and Orlando operate once a day. Flights between San Jose and Burbank are three-times daily.

“Alaska Airlines continues to meet the needs of Silicon Valley travelers with new daily nonstop flights to Newark and Burbank from our San Jose focus city,” said John Kirby, vice president of capacity planning at Alaska Airlines. “We’re also pleased to add Orlando to our list of nonstop destinations served from our Portland hub, now at 55 destinations and counting.”

Kirby said that the airline’s flight between Portland and Orlando will be the only nonstop service on the route. Orlando is a popular destination for business and convention travel, as well as a family favorite for its theme parks and tourist attractions.
