ITB Berlin is the leading event in the international tourism industry, with more than 10 thousand exhibiting companies and organizations from more than 187 countries of the 5 continents, and 170 thousand visitors.

The Argentinian ministry of Tourism, through the National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), was present – for the ninth consecutive year – in the German capital with a booth of 40 square meters in the Gay and Lesbian Travel Pavilion. There, Marcelo Costa (International Promotion Manager of INPROTUR) and Santhiago Goncalves (LGBT Tourism Coordinator of INPROTUR), along with Pablo De Luca and Gustavo Noguera, president and vice president of the Argentinian Gay Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CCGLAR), showed the advances of the LGBT tourism in Argentina.

During the third day, INPROTUR and CCGLAR gave a special recognition to the Argentinian Embassy in Berlin for the support and the work that the diplomatic representation performs. Ambassador Luis Marรญa Kreckler received the distinction in the Argentinian Pink Corner.
In addition, the Argentinian brand of LGBT Tourism, Amor., was presented. The extensive work of integration and equality that our nation manifests allows Argentina to position itself as one of the five destinations most chosen by the LGBT community.

For Goncalves, the key of the Argentinian work is the “constancy of the teamwork, which has been consolidated for a long time and promises to advance much moreโ€.

On the other hand, De Luca and Noguera maintained: “Today, thanks to the permanent support of the Ministry of Tourism, through INPROTUR, and companies focused on the sector, we can say proudly that our country leads the international LGBT tourism promotion in Region and Amor. begins to be the Argentinian brand of egalitarian tourism “.

Regarding the advance of LGBT Tourism in Latin America, Costa highlighted the presence, for the first time in ITB Berlin, of the Latin American LGBT Tourism Association (ALAT.LGBT) with participants from Costa Rica, Chile and Argentina, who showed the offer of these destinations for the segment.
