During the just-ended year of 2016, American tourists outpaced all other nationalities to claim top spot in tourist arrivals, and with most of them coming to the country for the traditional safari holiday, their spending has contributed to boost the Kenyan economy.
Even so, the US issued an anti-travel advisory to some areas of the Kenya coast just prior to a global meeting that is taking place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre between February 23 to 28 and is expected to bring hundreds of travel agents to the country.
