The Islamic State (IS) is claiming on the jihadi group’s Amaq News agency that it is responsible for the attack on the Berlin Christmas market in Germany.
The extremists claim the killer behind the attack was a soldier of the Islamic State. The news released was confirmed by the Chief Federal Prosecutorโs office.
A manhunt for the perpetrator of yesterdayโs attack is ongoing. Earlier, German prosecutors released the only suspect who had been held, citing insufficient evidence.
