Christine Barbier, the 2016 Miss Seychelles, has left her mid-ocean islands to travel to Washington, DC, in the USA for the 66th Miss World Final that will be taking place on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland, Washington, DC.
Miss Seychelles was on the same flight between Seychelles and Dubai with Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, and this was an opportunity for the island’s Minister to wish Christine well at the 2016 Miss World Pageant in Washington.
“It was a great opportunity to sit and discuss with Christine on the Seychelles-Dubai sector of her long flight to Washington. As I wished her well and all the success, I also said that she was the chosen one to fly our islandsโ flag at this yearโs beauty pageant,” said Minister St.Ange, who was heading to Dubai for a working visit last week.
Christine Barbier will be joined in Washington by Seychelles Tourism Board officials closer to pageant night.
