Latest tweets indicate 40 dead after Patna-Indore Express derailed during the wee hours of Sunday morning near Pukharayan at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Initial reports suggest that at least 14 coaches of the train have derailed.

The Indore–Patna Express operates as an Express Train of the Indian Railways, which runs between Indore Junction railway station of Indore, the largest city and commercial hub of Central Indian state Madhya Pradesh and Patna Junction, railway station of Patna, the capital city of Bihar.
