Minister Alain St.Ange was the islands’ Minister for Tourism and Culture, but last weekend was re-appointed the Seychelles Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine in a cabinet re-shuffle following a change in Presidency from James Michel to Danny Faure.

Walter Mzembi the Chairman of CAF (Commission for Africa) body of the UNWTO (UN World Tourism Organization) has posted a public message on the re-appointment of the Seychelles Minister Alain St.Ange.

Minister Mzembi, the CAF Chairman, writes: “Congratulations to Minister St Ange, a tireless tourism practitioner and leader in the Vanilla Islands and the globe. You deserve the enhanced and value-added reappointment which has successfully demonstrated the nexus between tourism and aviation, and ports of entry. Life under water, SDG 14, and the blue economy, has clearly been placed under your charge. I look forward to greater regional, continental, and global collaboration with you, dear brother and colleague.”

The Seychelles Minister told press who contacted him on the public message posted by the sitting CAF Chairman of the UNWTO that he was delighted to see the support by colleague ministers. “We all meet at tourism trade fairs and at international tourism conferences. We work together for the common good of tourism, and it is always appreciated when colleagues come out to echo words of support. I thank Minister Walter Mzembi for his public show of support.” Minister Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles said.
