Hindus are looking forward to the first Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi, which is claimed to be open for devotees within a year.

To be reportedly built on about 20,000 square meters of government donated land in Al Wathba, about 27 kilometers from Abu Dhabi city, it is stated to be the largest in United Arab Emirates when completed.

Hindu leaders think it would be a step in the positive direction signaling inclusivity and freedom of religion. It was important to meet the spiritual needs of Hindu residents. Moreover, governments should actively promote interfaith understanding.
