A variety of sessions then followed on culture, education, environment, visitor experience, and technology. Then at around mid-day, the 2016 Tourism Legacy Awards were held during a luncheon honoring Hawaii’s Gifts to the World, this year, with the focus on surfing.
Ongoing now are One-on-One Networking Rounds which filled up quickly.
Day one will end with an unveiling and blessing of the Hawaii Convention Center’s Hawaiian Cultural Art Exhibit, along with a special screening of the critically-acclaimed Sons of Halawa at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki.
