Mr. Xu Jing, Executive Secretary and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), gave welcoming remarks at the World Tourism Day event being held.

Also welcoming delegates was Mr. Pongpanu Svetarundra, Thailand’s Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

Presenting the keynote speech on Tourism and Accessibility was the Managing Director of the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT), Mr. Ivor Ambrose.

This was followed by a ministerial session with a panel of tourism ministers providing their input on accessible tourism.
