10 passengers hospitalized after Sun Valley Metrolink train crash

SUN VALLEY, CA – According to Los Angeles Fire Department, a Metrolink train collided with a box truck in Sun Valley on Tuesday.

SUN VALLEY, CA – According to Los Angeles Fire Department, a Metrolink train collided with a box truck in Sun Valley on Tuesday.

Over 10 patients were transported to local hospitals, all from the train with non-life-threatening injury.


Driver of the truck was not injured.

Approximately 75 firefighters on-scene, including 13 ambulances systematically triaging 187 passengers and providing immediate medical aid.

The crash occurred about 10:40am in the 8200 block of San Fernando Road.
