In every corner of Seychelles, there are small tourism establishments that can sometimes be dubbed as unique products for the island’s tourism industry.

There are many visitors from across the world who enjoy staying at these small home-grown tourism establishments as they want to get a closer experience of the Creole way of life.

“Chez Odet” is one of those establishments that welcomes visitors to have such experience. “It is simply a home away from home” a visitor to Seychelles writes as the hotel is situated right of a small village.

Located not far from the busy capital city of Victoria, “Chez Odet” is a cozy and neat self-catering establishment.

The tourism establishment is perfectly located in the district of English River, precisely at Ma Joie, close to the main road.

Those passing by this part of the island can easily see the light shade of yellow walls, blending expressively well with the surrounding environment.

A very friendly Odet Alcindor warmly welcomes you to her small tourism establishment. Chez Odet is a new licensed self-catering tourism establishment which is made up of two apartments.

On the top floor, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment offers a perfect relaxation spot. The one-bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor, and is ideal for a couple. The rooms in both apartments are all spacious and comfortable, with a simple but modern décor concept.

Visiting the tourism establishment last Friday, the Tourism and Culture Minister, Alain St.Ange, said it is pleasing to see how gradually Seychellois are understanding the principle of claiming back the Seychelles tourism industry.

He has called on the Seychelles Tourism Board’s staff to visit the establishment and has affirmed the ministry’s support to the actors in the tourism sector.

Minister St.Ange was accompanied on his visit to “Chez Odet” by the Principal Secretary for Tourism, Anne Lafortune, and Vahid Jacob, the Head of the Tourism Board’s Digital Marketing Department.
