NEW YORK, NY – New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania, The World’s Most Pup-ular Hotel, is excited to bark up a Dog Days of Summer promotion to celebrate National Dog Day (August 26th).

National Dog Day celebrates all dogs, mixed breed and pure. The mission of NDD is to celebrate dogs for their unconditional love, to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year and honor dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort. National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Celebrity Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert, Author and Animal Advocate, Colleen Paige. The date was chosen to honor the day she adopted her first rescue dog when she was a child.

“We are especially proud to be a part of this important howl-iday,” says Eugene Nicotra, General Manager. “We want to offer all two-legged and four-legged guests a great offer to experience New York(ie) City.”

“I am so excited to have Hotel Pennsylvania as a partner this year,” said Colleen Paige, Pet Lifestyle Expert, Animal Welfare Advocate and Founder of the day. “As the most well respected and renown pet friendly hotel for dogs in New York, and having National Dog Day (August 26th) adopted into New York State legislature, it’s simply a perfect alignment and I’m very grateful for their friendship and support of our mission.”
