Turkish Airlines is set to start its Seychelles operations effective the end of September.

Turkish Airlines is set to start its Seychelles operations effective the end of September. Seychelles will be the third island in the Vanilla Islands group that will now be served by Turkish, following the successful operations they already have in Mauritius and Madagascar.

As the news was spreading that Turkish Airlines was starting to launch dedicated marketing roadshows in targeted tourism source markets, a Seychellois hotelier forwarded the photo of a Turkish Airlines aircraft on the tarmac at Mauritius saying he was happy to see that Turkish Airlines would be offering a special discount for the tourism trade to their promotional event.

This first dedicated series of roadshows will take the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands tourism trade to Bucharest, Budapest, and Prague from September 5-9. These events will bring together hotels and DMCs from the Vanilla Islands, and agencies and tour operators from Central Europe.

The Seychelles Tourism Board has confirmed its participation and will talk about Seychelles during this series of roadshows sponsored by Turkish Airlines. Discussions are also taking place with the airline for familiarization visits by the travel trade and for press trips to Seychelles.
