MEXICO CITY, Mexico – The American Automobile Association (AAA) has once again awarded three RIU Hotels & Resorts in Mexico with the highly-coveted Four Diamond accolade. The award has gone to two vacation focused hotels located on the Mexican coast: the Riu Palace Pacifico on the Nayarit Riviera, and the Riu Palace Mexico on the Mayan Riviera; as well as the Riu Plaza Guadalajara, located in the capital of Jalisco State and part of Riu Plazaโs urban category of properties.
Attaining the “Four Diamond” grade represents one of the biggest achievements in the tourism industry. To elect the winners, AAA analysts assess more establishments than any other organisation in the world. In 2014 and 2015 the three hotels were granted the award and this year they have also received it. The RIU leisure hotels that have been awarded this distinction, the Riu Palace Pacifico and the Riu Palace Mexico, belong to the chainโs most luxurious, sophisticated category: the Riu Palace.
