Seychelles is still one of the dream destinations for travelers from Dubai, and there is a year-on-year increase of interest to visit the islands. The region is still one of the top feeder markets to the destination and acquired a 28.54% increase as compared to the same period last year.
The Seychelles Tourism Board Office in Dubai held its annual Iftar event on June 23, 2016 at the Al Masa Ballroom II of H-Hotel. The event, having 93 attendees from different travel agencies and media companies, testified the strong ties the board has with the trade and media partners. It was an opportune time to network and communicate with them and discuss how to better work together in promoting the Seychelles islands to the region. The informal gathering also paved the way for the Tourism Board together with its partners to observe the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“We are truly elated with the response for Seychelles from this region. The growing interest and knowledge of the people from this region for the destination would not be possible without the help of our trade and media partners. We, the Seychelles Tourism Board Office in Dubai, always looks for ways to improve and bolster our relationship with our partners, and this Iftar event, organized annually, helps us to reach our goal,” said Ahmed Fathallah, Regional Manager, Seychelles Tourism Board Dubai Office.
The Tourism Board is truly pleased to receive this tremendous support from the trade and media sectors.
“With the good attendance we had this year, we are looking forward to our next Iftar event with enthusiasm. We are now in the process of preparing the planned marketing activities for the upcoming months, especially the Eid and the summer break, to attract holidaymakers to the destination,” added Fathallah.
