ISTANBUL – It has now been confirmed by Istanbul’s Governor that 3 suicide bombers are to blame for the attack on the Ataturk airport.

In the latest report, 28 people have died and 60 have been injured in the attack at Istanbul Ataturk airport involving gunfire and explosions.

Reports say the attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk airport occurred at a security checkpoint in the departures area of the international terminal.

State media reported that approximately 60 have been wounded, and 10 confirmed dead.

Turkish airline officials confirm that already en route will be permitted to land at the airport.

The US Embassy in Turkey says its consulate is working to determine if US citizens were among the victims. President Obama has been briefed on the explosions at the Istanbul Turkey airport.
