BRANSON, MO – With a slate of singers, dancers, magicians and a red-white-and-blue marching band all welcoming a 12-foot tall spinning cake, the “Official 90th Birthday Party of the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters” kicked off a Star-Spangled Summer in a big way in America’s Heartland. Branson, Missouri, long known for live entertainment, is the summer home to The Globetrotter Experience, produced exclusively for the Silver Dollar City theme park.
More than three thousand people attended the celebration, complete with a parade of stunt dogs, characters, music, performers and legendary players & their families – with the park’s bakers passing out thousands of cupcakes.
The world’s best-known basketball team is traveling the continents on their 90th World Tour. At the internationally-awarded Silver Dollar City, The Globetrotter Experience showcases highlights from the Globetrotters’ one-of-a-kind touring show, featuring trademark basketball wizardry, athleticism and humor. The show is the headliner of Star Spangled Summer for the next six weeks. Star-Spangled Summer, June 11 – July 24, is open daily.
