FRANKFURT, Germany – “Ready for take-off!” was the rallying cry of German’s national soccer team this week as they boarded a plane for France at Frankfurt Airport. And during the coming month, the entire airport will also be caught up in nonstop soccer excitement!

Large and small passengers, visitors, and airport employees can look forward to fantastic activities and promotions in the terminals. In the Airport City Mall, which is located on the level just above the regional train station in Terminal 1, an extra-large plasma screen is being installed for viewing the matches. Many of the cafés, bars, and restaurants at the airport will also be showing them live.

Current information on where the matches can be watched is available via the Frankfurt Airport App and on the Frankfurt Airport website.

The airport operator will surprise passengers flying to France on or after June 20 at the departure gate with small fan articles as part of the Happy Moments campaign.

Ahead of the European soccer championship, the Online Shop is currently holding a “French Week” featuring 24 exclusive duty-free products for which members of the Frankfurt Airport Rewards program receive twice the usual loyalty points. And while the matches are ongoing, there will be many more relevant products to discover.

Fraport AG, the airport’s operator, has been consistently committed to continuously improving the customer experience and quality of service at Germany’s largest aviation hub, as expressed in its slogan “Gute Reise! We Make It Happen”. Other examples are the Frankfurt Airport App and free Wi-Fi. Passengers and visitors can find more information on the many services offered at Frankfurt Airport at FRA’s travel website and on the airport’s Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube pages.
