Within Europe, research confirmed Russia, Germany, Spain, UK and Italy were the most popular destinations. Russia topped the list with 92% of Hosted Buyers indicating an interest in placing business; Russia also accounts for the maximum share of spending by Chinese MICE tourists in the European region with 35%. The UK was a close second; spending by Chinese MICE tourists is expected to increase by 9% by 2020 and England is one of the most popular destinations among Hosted Buyers, with 87% looking to place business. Germany followed, with 71% of Hosted Buyers indicating an interest.

Canada and the USA were also top destinations for Hosted Buyers, with 85% of Hosted Buyers looking to place business in the US and 79% in Canada. North America currently holds the number one position globally for Chinese outbound MICE tourists spending.

And within Australasia, Australia was the top destination of interest, with 91% of buyers interested in placing business. New Zealand followed with 74% of Hosted Buyers indicating an interest.
