Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) today announced the opening of Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach under the company’s iconic flagship brand Marriott Hotels.

Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) today announced the opening of Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach under the company’s iconic flagship brand Marriott Hotels. With more than 2.3 billion Baht invested, the 180-room resort was completely refurbished and now ready to welcome travelers looking for authentic Thai hospitality within a transformed and modern Marriott.

Located on the sandy beach of Nai Yang, considered one of the most scenic area of Phuket, the 180-room resort is surrounded with tropical vegetation and lush green forest within the Sirinath National Park. It is just a 10-minute drive from Phuket International Airport and adjacent to the old town of Nai Yang along with numerous natural attractions and scenic hot spots.

Mr. Karl Hudson, Area Vice President, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia & Japan of Marriott International said, “In 2013, we signed an agreement with TCC Land Asset World to develop seven hotels and resorts in Thailand. We successfully opened Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa in March and are delighted to welcome this Phuket resort under our flagship Marriott Hotels brand. This recent addition of Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach increases our total portfolio in Thailand to 18.”
