319 passengers onboard Korean Air flight 2708 from Tokyo Haneda to Seoul, Korea, were evacuated on the runway after the aircraft was seen on fire during takeoff.

319 passengers onboard Korean Air flight 2708 from Tokyo Haneda to Seoul, Korea, were evacuated on the runway after the aircraft was seen on fire during takeoff.

As reported by Kyodo news, the left wing was on fire. The fire was promptly extinguished on site, according to the report.

The aircraft was operated by Korean Air, a member of the global SkyTeam alliance.

All passenger were able to be evacuated and left behind their belongings on the plane with no injuries.


No information are available about the cause of the fire.
